Service

The service: provider, form, structure, and scope.

ProviderJustine Lee
Contracting entitySpectrum Integration Group, LLC
Service formIndependent consultation and advisory
EducationBachelor's degree in neurobiology; master's degree in pharmacology
Current rolesExecutive Director, Spectrum Peer Support; co-founder, Autistic Psychedelic Community

I provide private consultation and advisory for individuals and professionals who want me to examine something complicated with them. The work may involve personal, relational, professional, ethical, scientific, creative, neurodivergent, psychedelic, or care-related questions.

My work draws on scientific analysis, peer-support and community practice, neurodivergence, psychedelic experience, relationships, care systems, and ethics.

My work may include:

  • Receiving complicated material before it has been organized or simplified
  • Organizing information, thoughts, feelings, and competing explanations
  • Identifying patterns, contradictions, assumptions, and missing information
  • Distinguishing observation from interpretation and meaning
  • Developing and testing a working formulation
  • Asking questions that sharpen the inquiry
  • Offering direct observations, opinions, or recommendations
  • Supporting a decision without making it for the client
  • Neurodivergent and psychedelic consultation
  • Preparing a written synthesis under a separate agreement

I am not a neutral mirror or a passive listener. I may disagree with you, question the explanation you are using, identify a concern, or recommend a different course. I will distinguish what I observed from what I inferred and identify uncertainty or limits in my understanding. Any interpretation or formulation I offer remains open to correction.

You are paying for reserved time, sustained attention, analysis, and direct participation in a defined question—not agreement, affirmation, permission, or a predetermined conclusion.

The work may produce a clearer description of the problem, a set of competing explanations, questions that require further examination, a decision framework, or a more specific next step. It does not guarantee certainty, agreement, or a particular outcome.

Structure

The standing terms in this orientation apply to all paid consultations. By booking, you confirm that you have reviewed and agreed to these terms for that appointment.

The publicly available Individual Consultation is a one-off appointment for people outside the mental-health, medical, scientific, research, psychedelic-care, and related professional fields. It does not include a personal client portal or a named room.

Professional and ongoing consultation relationships may include a personal client portal and one or more rooms.

I tailor the structure of the consultation to the client, the proposed work, the anticipated material, and the form of participation being requested. Standard and non-standard rooms describe possible containers for the work. They are not a menu, a hierarchy, or options that every client may book.

I will usually begin by offering the container that I believe is appropriate based on what I understand at that time. That initial offer is provisional. You may tell me that I have missed something, identify a need that the proposed container does not address, request a different room, or ask to discuss a different configuration. New information may change what I believe the work requires.

A request opens a discussion; it does not guarantee access to a particular container. A particular container is available when I believe it fits the proposed work, I have the capacity to offer it, and both of us agree to its conditions. Willingness or ability to pay does not replace that assessment or agreement.

Every container has standing rules and non-negotiable limits. Within those boundaries, its scope, duration, preparation, methods of participation, communication, preservation, follow-up, closing process, and exit conditions may be configured for the specific engagement.

When the existing room structures do not adequately describe the proposed work—or when important aspects of the work cannot be determined in advance—we may develop a client-specific non-standard room. That room does not exist until its configuration has been discussed and mutually agreed. Either person may decide that the proposed room should not open.

A more extensive Written Consultation Synthesis may be scoped and priced separately after the session.

Scope

This is consultation, not psychotherapy or medical care. I do not provide diagnoses, clinical assessment, prescribing or medication management, emergency response, or crisis monitoring.

I may make a recommendation, but I will not direct or manage your care. You remain responsible for your decisions and for involving appropriately licensed professionals when medical or clinical expertise is required.

Section Two

Rooms

The containers each engagement takes place in: their conditions, their appearance in the portal, and how they change.

My rooms are the containers I construct for each engagement. They define the conditions under which the work will take place: what we are preparing to examine, how I will participate, the anticipated intensity and duration, the permissions and limits that apply, and how we will begin, close, and follow up.

The structure of each room supports what I am able to perceive and how fully I can participate. If I understand what the work may require, I can manage my time, energy, attention, and bandwidth accordingly. I can enter the session prepared for that particular client and question rather than relying on a generic professional posture.

Rooms are standing, client-specific agreements used primarily for professional and ongoing consultation relationships. They formalize the rules of engagement for recurring or specially configured work, including the purpose, permissions, limits, pacing, participation, preparation, and closing conditions.

A one-off Individual Consultation is not described as a room and does not require a portal.

Personal Client Portal

Personal client portals are created for professional and ongoing clients. A portal contains the rooms, room-specific agreements, information, and private booking access relevant to that client’s work with me. A one-off Individual Consultation does not include a portal.

I often begin this process intuitively. When I think about a client, their history, the proposed work, and the way they communicate, visual and spatial impressions may come to mind. I use those impressions to help identify the kind of environment the work may need. My visual intuitions are not conclusions but translations of my felt sense into an explicit scene, atmosphere, spatial arrangement, or proposal that the client can examine, correct, and negotiate.

These rooms are visible expressions of my internal processes and are part of the set and setting of the work. Their purpose is to establish expectations, support my preparation, and give whatever is being brought to me an appropriate degree of structure and protection.

The rooms that appear in your portal are designed for you. They are not a catalog of every service structure I may construct. Each room contains its own purpose, conditions, boundaries, and booking access. If the rooms in your portal do not account for something important, we can discuss revising the structure.

Changing rooms

The room in your portal reflects what I believe is appropriate based on what I currently understand about the proposed work. That decision can be reconsidered.

You may tell me that I have missed something, identify a need the current room does not address, or ask to discuss a different structure. A request opens a discussion; it does not automatically make another room available. A new room appears in your portal only after its conditions have been discussed. New information may change what I believe the work requires.

Section Three

Participation

The forms of expression, response, attention, and disclosure in effect in every room, and the terms of withdrawal.

Expression

When a room appears in your portal, I have already agreed to receive the forms of expression described there. You do not need to ask whether each sentence is permitted or continually monitor me for an unstated limit.

You do not need to make yourself linear, emotionally moderate, conventionally pleasant, or easy to understand before speaking. Fast or nonlinear speech, directness, disagreement, an abrasive tone, visible emotion, and difficulty organizing what you mean are not, by themselves, boundary violations.

If I become confused, if something bothers me, or if the interaction begins to exceed what I can receive, it is my responsibility to say so. You are not expected to infer a boundary from my face, tone, movement, or silence.

Before a limit has been stated, an accidental crossing does not automatically imply malice and does not require guilt, shame, or an apology. Once I state a limit, I expect it to be recognized and honored immediately. Repeated or deliberate disregard of a stated limit is different from expressing yourself in a way that I find intense, unfamiliar, or difficult to interpret.

Non-standard rooms may require less censorship of internal content. That does not mean they require less consent. They place a higher degree of responsibility on how the material is communicated. The room’s explicit exclusions remain in effect.

My Responses

Permission to express something does not automatically give me permission to use every possible form of response.

I will often identify what I am about to do and ask first: “May I ask a question?” “Can I offer a redirect?” “May I reframe this?” “Would you like my interpretation?” or “Do you want my opinion?”

The frequency of these requests may feel excessive or unnecessary. It is intentional. I want changes in the interaction to be visible rather than implicit. You may accept, decline, ask what I intend, or request a different form of participation.

I may state a boundary or serious concern without first asking permission. I will distinguish that from an interpretation, recommendation, or invitation.

Interaction

You may ask why I interrupted, redirected, asked permission, chose a particular word, interpreted something in a certain way, or responded as I did. I do not treat those questions as inherently rude, argumentative, or defiant.

I can usually describe my intention, reasoning, and behavior and will answer directly when I can. I may also tell you that I do not know, that I need time to think, or that the answer involves private information I am not willing to disclose.

Interpersonal processes are available for examination. A space in which you do not have to mask can also be a space in which communication skills are observed, discussed, and practiced. The purpose is not to correct neurodivergent communication into neurotypical conformity. It is to make normally implicit processes visible so that you have more information and more choices.

Attention

My attention may not always look conventional or be easy to read. During a video session, I may look away from the camera so that I can listen and process more effectively. I may take notes to organize information and retain the structure of what you are telling me. I may stim, rock, shift position, or move while listening. These behaviors support my attention and regulation and do not necessarily indicate a reaction to the subject.

I do not perform emotional neutrality, and I do not manufacture emotion to demonstrate that I care. If I am visibly moved by what you share, I allow that response to be present. To me, being affected means that you matter, your story matters, and what happened to you matters. You are not responsible for comforting me, changing the material, or regulating my response.

I may also not respond with the expression or reaction you expect. My internal response is not always externally legible. A quiet face, delayed response, lack of eye contact, or lack of visible emotion does not necessarily mean that I am indifferent, disturbed, disapproving, or disengaged.

If either my expression or lack of expression affects how you understand the interaction, you may name it. We can examine what you noticed, what you believed it meant, and whether my actual response differs from that interpretation.

I remain responsible for my regulation. If my response changes what I am able or willing to continue receiving, I will tell you directly and may pause, redirect, or stop.

Spiritual Experiences

I take spiritual, mystical, psychedelic, and other non-ordinary experiences seriously. I do not automatically dismiss them, reduce them to pathology, or assume that their significance can be understood from the outside.

I separate what you experienced from the explanation or meaning assigned to it. I may distinguish among a sensory or perceptual event, a spiritual belief, a symbolic interpretation, and a claim about shared external reality. An experience may have features commonly described as hallucinatory and still carry substantial spiritual or personal meaning. These descriptions do not necessarily cancel one another.

My default is not to tell you what a spiritually significant experience means. Unless you explicitly ask for my opinion or interpretation, I am more likely to use a Socratic process: asking questions that help you examine the experience, consider competing meanings, identify assumptions, and determine what significance it has for you.

If you ask for my interpretation, I may offer one as a hypothesis rather than an authoritative explanation. You decide whether it fits.

Respecting an experience does not require me to treat every interpretation as factual or harmless. I may state a concern without waiting to be asked if an interpretation appears to be displacing shared reality, directing consequential or dangerous behavior, or raising a question that requires medical or clinical evaluation. I will distinguish that concern from diagnosis and from the meaning the experience holds for you.

Self-Disclosure

If you ask, I may share a limited part of my own experience when I believe it is relevant. I decide what I disclose and how much detail I provide. I do not provide explicit or operational information about illicit drug use, sourcing, preparation, or conduct that could facilitate harm.

Health Information

I may identify a medication or polypharmacy pattern that concerns me, explain the basis and limits of that concern, provide educational information, help you formulate questions, or recommend that you seek review from an appropriately licensed prescriber.

I do not prescribe or manage medication. I will not direct you to start, stop, add, remove, or change the dose of a medication. If I believe something presents a meaningful danger or risk, I will name the concern directly. You remain responsible for discussing medical decisions with an appropriately licensed professional.

Information Use

You may take your own written notes. Neither person may record a session without explicit mutual written consent.

You may use my client-specific comments for your own purposes and share them privately with a physician, therapist, attorney, partner, or another person directly assisting you. My comments are made for your circumstances and should not be presented as general guidance for someone else.

If another person wants clarification from me, we can separately discuss the purpose, participants, confidentiality, scope, and terms of that conversation.

Nothing I say in an ordinary client consultation is prepared for publication, teaching, journalism, public attribution, or another public audience. If an engagement is intended to produce publicly usable material, that purpose must be disclosed and negotiated before the work begins. A private consultation cannot be converted into a public-source engagement afterward without my separate agreement.

I ask that personal information I share be treated as private. My willingness to disclose something to you does not authorize its publication or public distribution.

My own notes, written synthesis, retention practices, and any use of client material are addressed separately in the Privacy section.

Withdrawal

You may decline a question, redirect, reframe, interpretation, opinion, recommendation, degree of detail, or change in intensity. You may correct me, ask why I am making a request, or tell me to stop. You do not need to justify the decision.

I may also decline, narrow, redirect, pause, or stop my participation. Consent to begin a session is not consent to everything that might occur inside it. Permission may change during the same conversation.

Section Four

Rules

The standing rules of every room: commitments, content, limits, control, relationship, repair, ending, scheduling.

These standing rules apply to all paid consultations, including one-off Individual Consultations. When a professional or ongoing client has a room, that room may add conditions specific to the engagement.

These rules apply in every room. A room may add permissions, limits, preparation, or closing requirements for a particular engagement. It cannot remove the standing rules below.

Any change must be discussed and agreed to before it applies. If the work changes unexpectedly, either of us may pause and decide whether the current room still fits, whether another structure is needed, or whether the session should end.

My commitments

Your commitments

Content

Almost any internal experience may be discussed when it falls within the conditions of the room. Thoughts, fantasies, desires, attraction, aggression, shame, spiritual experiences, and taboo material are not violations merely because they exist or are named.

Permission to discuss something does not authorize live enactment, operational harm planning, compelled participation, concealment of intended harm, or an expansion of my role that I have not agreed to.

You do not need to provide every detail for me to understand what you are describing. You may summarize, omit names, use placeholders, describe the structure of an event, or explain what the material means without reproducing it graphically. More detail is not necessarily more honest or more useful.

Limits

I do not provide emergency response or crisis monitoring.

Control

Either of us may use:

  • Pause: Stop the current disclosure or response long enough to examine what is happening.
  • Redirect: Continue while changing the topic, level of detail, form of disclosure, or type of participation.
  • Stop: End the topic or the session.

Neither person has to prove wrongdoing, defend the decision, or apologize before a pause, redirect, or stop takes effect. Payment does not alter these options.

Once a limit has been stated, it must be honored. If a limit is not respected, I may end the session immediately. A serious or repeated violation may result in my declining future work.

Relationship

My care, attention, and emotional responses are genuine. The relationship remains professional. It does not create friendship, romantic or sexual access, exclusivity, crisis availability, access to my private life, or a right to continued work.

Attraction, attachment, reliance, disappointment, concern about access, or feelings about me may be discussed when they affect the work. Discussing them does not change the relationship or require either person to act on them.

If I believe that continued work is reinforcing fixation, dependency, financial harm, pressure for access, or another harmful relational pattern, I may propose a change in structure, pause the work, or end the engagement.

Repair

You may tell me if you believe I misread, pressured, exposed, or harmed you. I may also name a rupture, misunderstanding, or violation that affected my participation.

A repair attempt may involve clarification, correction, acknowledgment, a change in the agreement, or a decision about whether to continue. Repair does not guarantee agreement, a particular outcome, or continuation of the relationship.

Dissatisfaction is not automatically misconduct. A concern may be raised directly, but not through threats, intimidation, harassment, retaliation, or coercion.

Ending

Either of us may end the engagement without proving that the other person acted maliciously.

You may end because you disagree with me, do not find the work useful, prefer another kind of support, cannot continue financially, or simply do not want to proceed.

I may end because the work exceeds my role or capacity, the room no longer fits, a limit is not respected, the relationship is becoming harmful or exploitative, or I no longer believe useful work is possible within the agreed conditions.

Ending the engagement does not retroactively change the payment terms for time already reserved or work already completed. Disagreement with my opinion, dissatisfaction with what I said, or not receiving the outcome you expected does not by itself create a right to a refund.

Scheduling

  • Rescheduling requires at least 48 hours’ notice.
  • A serious emergency may be considered individually.
  • A cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice or a no-call/no-show forfeits the full session fee.
  • If either of us needs to reschedule, I will provide another booking link.
  • If I cancel, I will refund in full.
  • If cancellation occurs during a session, the refund depends on the nature of the cancellation.
  • If the cancellation is due to repeated boundary crossing after multiple warnings, refunds will not be issued.
Section Five

Privacy

The handling of client information: what is collected, preserved, and reused, and what requires permission.

I treat information shared during client work as private and limit what I collect, preserve, and reuse.

Privacy is not the same as legal privilege or absolute security. This is an independent consulting relationship, not psychotherapy, legal representation, or another relationship that should be assumed to carry automatic professional privilege. The final agreement will state what confidentiality I offer, its limits, and the circumstances in which information may need to be disclosed.

Personal Client Portal

This subsection applies only when a personal client portal has been created for a professional or ongoing client.

Your client portal is an orientation and access space. It may contain your name, room descriptions, agreements, scheduling links, and information about the service.

It is not a record system. It should not contain a detailed client narrative, case formulation, sensitive history, or private written deliverable.

Channels

Ordinary website forms and booking fields are for basic logistical information. Do not use them to send graphic narratives, detailed case material, sensitive records, or information about identifiable third parties.

Substantive communication uses . Client Proton Drive folders may be created if needed, and access instructions will be given at that time.

No digital system guarantees absolute confidentiality. The final agreement will describe the security and privacy limits of each channel.

Email may be used for logistics, concise updates, links, documents, and requests for additional work. It is not an emergency channel or an ongoing session. Long, graphic, or high-intensity material is not automatically reviewed or analyzed between sessions.

Do not send explicit files or unusually sensitive material in advance unless we have agreed on the channel, purpose, and degree of detail.

Records

I may take working notes during a session to organize information and retain the structure of what you are telling me.

Permission to hear something is separate from permission to preserve it. Permission to preserve material in working notes is also separate from permission to include it in a written synthesis or reuse it elsewhere.

Diagram 01 — Permissions
  • Hear
  • Interpret
  • Preserve
  • Reuse

Neither person may create an audio recording, video recording, transcript, screenshot record, or other session capture without explicit mutual written consent.

A written synthesis should include only the detail necessary for its purpose. Graphic detail will not be reproduced merely because it was spoken during the session. If including explicit detail serves a clear purpose, we will discuss that separately.

Third Parties

You do not need to identify another person for me to understand the structure of an event. Use names and identifying details only when they are necessary to the work.

A person’s involvement in your story does not automatically make every detail about them necessary to preserve. I may ask you to omit a name, reduce identifying information, or describe the person’s role instead.

Sharing

You may retain your own written notes and use my client-specific comments for your own purposes. You may share those comments privately with a physician, therapist, attorney, partner, or another person directly assisting you.

My comments are made for your circumstances. They should not be presented as general guidance for someone else.

If another person wants clarification from me or wants to rely on my analysis directly, we can negotiate a separate conversation that defines its purpose, participants, confidentiality, and scope.

I ask that personal information I disclose about myself be treated as private. My decision to share something with you does not authorize its publication or public distribution.

Public Use

Nothing I say or prepare during an ordinary client consultation is intended for publication, journalism, teaching, public attribution, or use as a general source.

If you want to record, quote, publish, teach, report, or publicly attribute something I say, that purpose must be disclosed and negotiated before the relevant work begins. A private consultation cannot be converted into a public-source engagement afterward without my separate agreement.

AI

I may use AI to assist with organization, outlining, drafting, comparison, or quality control. I remain responsible for the final judgment, interpretation, and deliverable.

Sensitive or client-derived information is not used in AI systems. I use AI for my own thoughts, processes, and workflows.

Reuse

I will not reuse an identifiable narrative, direct quotation, distinctive fact pattern, personal disclosure, or client-specific visual world in teaching, publication, research, or marketing without separate permission.

Learning from recurring patterns across my work is not the same as publishing a client’s story. The final agreement will define whether de-identified pattern-level material may be retained or reused, what permission is required, and whether that permission may later be withdrawn.
